Are you a Dewey Beach resident with a friend or family member at your residence who requires additional help or supervision? This may include individuals with dementia, Alzheimers, autism, or other cognitive disability. These types of disabilities may cause an individual to wander off, becoming lost or confused and in need of assistance. If this is a concern for a member of your household, the Dewey Beach Police Department would like to get to know you. It is not mandatory to submit this information. This is a free, optional service provided by the Dewey Beach Police Department to assist our residents.

HOW DOES SPECIAL NEEDS REGISTRATION WORK?

Submit the form below, providing as much information as possible regarding your loved one. Having this information on file serves a few purposes:

• The department can familiarize themselves with your family and the specific needs of your friend or family member. 
• In the event a person is missing, we are already familiar with the individual and know who to look for right away.
• We put a name to a face! If your family member is out and about, we'd like to say hello and be sure they're ok. If they need assistance, we know who to contact.
